TiaraCAD has been created keeping in mind the base –  minimal metal around the stone.

Hence the focus is on the stone, a Stone-First approach. Metal around it is created only to the extent of the design. This ensures that time is not spent on trying to reduce the design weight at a later stage.

Also, you can customize TiaraCAD to incorporate the wall and prong thicknesses and heights so you don’t spend time changing the heights and thicknesses in every design.

Licensing options

You can download and install TiaraCAD for 15 days

The TiaraCAD license should be stored along with your Rhino license.

If you have single or multiple licenses, ideally, they should be on Rhino cloud. This ensures that you can access your license from any computer.

The computer access the license once in 14 days and hence you do not need continuous internet on your designer’s computer.

Also, your license is safe-guarded from software and hardware crashes, if any.

Alternatively, if your company has a local server which is always accessible to your CAD designers, licenses can be placed in LAN Zoo.

The last alternative is to use Standalone option. However, this uses the MAC address for licensing and any damage to the hardware can cause the license to be rendered invalid.

You can purchase the TiaraCAD license from us or our reseller. Simply replace your evaluation key with the new key to make it fully functional again.

There is no difference in any of the features between Commercial and Lab version of TiaraCAD.

All license keys are sent by email to the registered email id.

For Rhino, search in your emails for Mcneel Electronic License Delivery.

For TiaraCAD, search for Bluestone Electronic License Delivery.

Yes, you may use Rhino cloud services for licensing.

This enables you to install Rhino & TiaraCAD on multiple systems. You can close Rhino on one computer and use it on another by just logging in with your email ID.

Updates are minor modifications to software that developers release on timely basis. These could be minor improvements or bug-fixes. These have no financial implications on your side.

Upgrades are major modifications in software with additional features added to the software. These releases may be over extended time periods. These have a cost and you may choose to upgrade as per your requirements.

How is TiaraCAD different from it's competitors?

  • TiaraCAD uses the Stone-First approach. That means, dependent on the stone size, metal is wrapped around the design. As far as possible, the approach is to create the metal as is necessary to achieve good light weight jewelry in fastest time possible.
Most of the competitors create the surface first, add stones to it, then add cutters to it, prongs to it and the movement of each item is comparatively arbitrary.

  • You can incorporate you company wise Diamond charts and Metal Density charts to get accurate BOM information directly from the CAD.
Most competitors go with in-built stone and diamond charts which you cannot control.

  • You can also store all the setting features like standard prong size, distance between prongs, overlap over diamonds, channel setting wall thickness, pave wall specifications for productions and more within the software. This means you no longer need to move pave / prongs up and down. The wall thicknesses are ready as per your company standards. This drastically reduces the time to create the design.
In most competitive software, you move the diamonds, prongs, cutters, wall thicknesses per design.

  • Standard designs such as eternity bands, solitaire designs, heart pendants, invisible settings, gemstone cluster designs, bangles with repetitive designs and more can be created at a click of 1-button. You change the stone sizes and choose the setting, ring ID or pendant size as per your design. The ideal number of stones in eternity or heart pendant, etc are automatically calculated. Based on the metal weight and stone carat weight, you can modify your design to choose your price points.
Competitor software do not create settings based on your production standards. You spend time on modifying the settings. Settings like invisible or nick have not been addressed at all.

  • TiaraCAD uses a modular approach towards design. Hence there are no strict dependencies. The designer does not have to plan all options in advance.
A parametric approach towards design needs advance planning that may not be always possible for the designer.

We work ahead for ensuring compatibility with the latest version of Rhino. This ensure you do not miss out on any of the latest features Rhino has to offer.

Eg: Shrinkwrap in Rhino 8 gives us a watertight mesh model without having to do complex Boolean operations.

Some competitors have not moved beyond Rhino 5 or 6.
